We are currently recruiting for a one year s placement Junior Graphic Designer at British Bookshops and Stationers. Based at our head office in Hollingbury your main duties will be to support the Studio Manager in the delivery of an effective and efficient Graphic service within the Company and to provide support to the Studio Manager in various projects and specific duties. Working closely with the Studio Manager this role will be required to build effective working relationships internally and externally with suppliers and senior members of the management team within the business. Main Accountabilities To take design concepts from brief to finished artwork Deal with all aspects of print production General marketing and production work as necessary Criteria Candidates must have a full understanding of the Mac Osx work platform A good working knowledge of Quark Xpress Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop Cs4 A full understanding of the print production process Precise layout skills and an eye for detail A portfolio of work would be desirable but is not essential We are looking for someone who has excellent analytical skills and systems ability High Attention to detail Ability to work on own initiative Office skills and able to work under pressure to achieve deadlines. The candidate should have previous experience of working within various Graphic projects Portfolio of their work Essential computer skills of working with Graphic software and working towards a graphic qualification. The salary for this role is Â?14000.00 and is a one year placement with us.
