Temporary Airport workers We are looking for candidates who are seeking temporary work at London Gatwick Airport from early 2011 onwards. Ideally looking for flexible people with good communication skills and a good approach to work. Roles At Gatwick we have a mixture of roles from Passenger Service Agents Hosts to Baggage Handlers and Ramp agents. Passenger Service Agent. Help with On Screen Check in Weigh and Tag Baggage Check In Passengers Helping elderly less able passengers or unaccompanied minors around the terminal Check Travel Documents (Passports Boarding Passes Visas etc) Have a constant professional attitude as you will be Customers first contact with their chosen airline and your helpful approach will need to reflect this. Work at the boarding gate assisting passengers with the boarding process making announcements regarding delays and travel arrangements. Be able to work within tight time restraints. Understand and be able to deliver superb customer service and will have excellent communication skills with the ability to deal with people at all levels. Ramp This is a great opportunity to work as a Baggage Handler based at London Gatwick Airport. Working on the Ramp you will be loading bags onto the ramp and into the hold of the aircraft roping off the engines directing traffic ensuring all doors are secured attach stairs operate other ground machinery as required and prepare for aircraft arrival and departure. All candidates must be able to work in a physically demanding environment as heavy lifting is involved. You be expected to carry out demanding tasks within a fast paced and varied weathered environment. Candidate We require candidates that have previous or good customer service experience good communication skills the ability to be flexible and work shifts. Hours As we are searching for temporary staff the hours for any airport role will vary. Therefore flexibility is essential. There may be shift starts as early as 04.00am and shift ends as late as 00.00am. Salaries The salaries will be between Â?7.00 and Â?8.20 per hour depending on the role and experience.
