I am looking for someone who will start on a partime basis, 1 or 2 days a week and who will by June and July be working 3 or 4 days moving to full time in August or September. British Design Innovation (BDI) is a not-for-profit membership organisation that represents industrial designers involved in product, service and interaction design. Apart from lobbying government and trade bodies to help raise the profile of industrial design as a benefit to the UK economy, one of our key functions (and USPs) is to provide a marketing platform for our members. Our strength as an organisation is in our numbers, so recruitment is a key priority for us. We would like the intern to help identify (a) industrial design consultancies (b), in-house design teams and (c) people who provide services to the industrial design community – to help them raise our profile and grow our membership. Within this role, the intern may also want to get involved in doing some market research for our writers.
