The salary on offer is very generous, in the region of £18,000 – £20,000 plus tips for the right candidate. Due to the location of the restaurant, your own transport is essential as this is a live out position.

We are open seven days a week, operating predominantly a day time shift pattern with occasional evening work for private dining events and parties. We are looking to increase the amount of evening trade that we have and this position will increase our flexibility to provide this service.
You should have proven experience of working within a kitchen team and experience of providing front of house services. Ideally you will have operated espresso coffee machines in busy environments.

This is a very well-known restaurant in a great location near Haywards Heath. The building has a wonderful atmosphere with oak beams and loads of character. The kitchen is very well equipped and a good size. They make everything fresh, including speciality breads, brioche and smoke their own fish. The menus are changed on a regular basis with ideas coming from the whole team. They are now looking to move up to the next level and provide something unique in the area.
They are currently looking to recruit a new Head Chef, who has previous experience of working in a similar environment. You will need to have extensive experience in working in a fresh food environment and be excellent at menu planning using, as much as possible, locally sourced, fresh ingredients. You will be able to manage the kitchen team effectively which consists of a team of 5 members. Training the junior members of the team is integral to this role and support them to effect a smooth running kitchen. You will be hard working, have a good eye for detail and be able to work under pressure.
The restaurant, in return, will be able to offer a very competitive salary in the region of £22,000 – £24,000 ,which will be depending on experience.
