We are a small but successful company delivering online training in the education sector (just 4 people at present), mostly in the UK and Australia. We are currently undergoing a period of rapid expansion and require a further IT professional to support our webmaster. Java Developer – 25-35k.
Our client is currently recruiting for a Java Developer. The role is varied and involves working with internal and external teams to design and create new features on core products. Subsequently a high standard of coding will be necessary as will strong user interface design skills.
The successful candidate will be involved in all stages of the development cycle and will be used to working with agile methodologies including unit testing, code review and continuous integration.
Ideally educated to degree level with two years commercial development experience, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate strong JavaScript (jQuery), HTML5, and CSS. Awareness of mobile app development (iOS and Android) would be a distinct advantage.
Salary for the successful candidate will be paid 25k-35k depending upon experience.
Software Tester – Full time – £24,000 – £27,000 pa
Your software testing responsibilities will include:
• Analysing specifications to ensure thoroughness
• Taking specifications and prepare test scenarios
• Conduct and manage unit, system and regression test cycles
• Working within agreed timescales
• Managing the raising and resolution of defects
• Reviewing existing test strategies and proposing improvements
