Live In Au Pair wanted in Hove (Hove)

May 28th, 2011

We are friendly family about to move into our new house in Hove near Seven Dials. We are looking for a live in au pair to work 20-30 hours per week with occasional babysitting. Additional help in the school holidays may be required. We have a lovely 7 year old daughter and need help taking and collecting to and from school some days of the week. On some days we will also need after school care until either one of us get home. Additionally there are some light domestic duties although we do employ a separate cleaner. We have always employed live out au pairs so having a live-in is a new adventure for us. As we have recently moved to a new area school and house it is likely that our exact requirements will evolve over time so we will need flexibility from whoever we employ. In the last year we have used a year 4 medical student as a live out au pair with experience of babysitting and looking after younger siblings. This proved to be an excellent hire however the demands of her course prevent her from working in the new academic year. We would consider a student with similar experience of childcare whose timetable allows flexibility to cover (we think currently Monday Wednesday drop off and pick up and after school cover) on a live in basis. You will have your own private room with own bathroom (very occasionally used by the family) on a separate floor of the house. Broadband is available. We are looking for someone who can start as early as July but no later than beginning of September. We also have a flat in London (Islington) which could be available for occasional use at weekends. We will provide a competitive salary for the right candidate of c Â?65 per week for 25 hours over 5 days with 2 nights babysitting. A full UK driving licence would also be a bonus as the school is a bus ride away but this is not essential. Subject to a successful introduction we would want someone able to give a minimum commitment of at least 6 months (preferably longer. You should be mature reliable and responsible calm and caring fair but firm in discipline capable of strong interaction and empathy with children have previous sole care childcare experience have UK checkable references be Crb checked able to speak good English a non-smoker If you have interest in the above please reply with a Cv and information about yourself. We look forward to hearing from you.
